The Cause

To my surprise yesterday while trying to get in the shower something caught my attention.

From the coner of my eye... Could it really be what I think it is?

No Way!

A Darn GRAY HAIR had made a home for it self on my head. I did the only logical thing and pulled that sucker out! As soon as I was done with that the search was on. I spent over 20 minutes looking for more... Knowing that where there is one there must be more. I gave up, showered and went on about my day trying to forget the horror that my poor head of almost black hair had to endure for god knows how long. Sharing space with a gray hair must have killed all the other poor hairs. No wonder I had been suffering from a few bad hair days. My scalp was mad! It should have left me a memo or something about this unwelcome guest.

Then it happened again! Today while getting ready to brush my teeth before I jumped in the shower. There staring right at me the best friend of yesterdays gray hair.... OMG its another one! Before pulling this evil creature I couldn't help, but want to cry.

How is this happening to me? Everyone told me turning 25 would be okay, but they are so wrong. I'm one step away from having to be snuck in the back door of the salon while I make them try to match my natural hair color and then leaving out of the same door I walked in to. All of this during off hours so people wont find out....

I'M GETTING OLD

Was it turning 25 that did this, or is it that my children are driving me mad? Could it be the fact that I just got screwed by the family who's kid I was taking care of? Maybe the $85 billion dollar bailout plan should be blamed? Better yet I should have been a part of AIG or just a happy wife of an employee along for the week long spa retreat and I could have used America's money to color my hair.

Nothing like a $400,000 dollar F U to America.

I'm thinking that I will go with the whole being old, having kids, and work being blamed for the gray hair... As for AIG payback is a B***H.

Until Next Time..... Don't tell anyone I'm getting OLD.

Shower + Bath =

Memories of Camp!

Lesson One
Don't allow your small child to run the bathtub water while taking a shower.

Lesson Two
Yes you might get to shower alone, but not only to do need to worry about your small child slipping in. You also get to worry about running out of hot water.

Lesson Three
Don't let your small child play in water when you have a kitten. Because I can promise you that the kitten will end up wet.

Lesson Four
Don't try to take a shower and shave your legs if both the shower and the bathtub are running. YOU WILL RUN OUT OF HOT WATER VERY VERY FAST

Lesson Five
You'll get a longer Hotter Shower if you allow your small child to shower with you. Hey and you might get to shave too!!!

Lesson Six
Don't let the razor slip... Your likely to shave off what little hair your small child has. ( And no this hasn't happened to me, but its my biggest fear!)

Today I was able to remember what it was like to shower at Camp. No hot water and trying to shave your legs while your starting to suffer from hypothermia!

Only Child

In 14 days we will be packing up the good old mini van and starting our journey to Spokane to meet Nanna and Grandpa. The big kids are going to be gone for a WHOLE WEEK! I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I'm excited for them because they are going to have so much fun. They have so many things planned for them. They are evening going Camping this is something you really couldn't pay me to do. I'm a 110% indoor girl and plan on staying that way.

Last night it hit me....

I cant believe that I hadn't thought of it sooner. It's been a little over 4 years since I only had one child. Now I cant wait to do things with Chloe that I wouldn't be able to do with all 3! You know all the things I did with Avery, but never had the chance to do with Bella. Poor Bella the middle Child never gets anything. If that were only a true statement....

The plan is to surprise the big kids when they get back. We are going to be painting their rooms! Still trying to figure out how to make Avery's future Orange room look less Orange. I have been trying to talk him into some sort of Blue with Orange accents, but with no luck I think I'm just going to give up and go for the Orange. Bella's room will be painted Dragon Fruit it's the greatest shade of Hot Pink, but yet its not really hot pink it's just perfect for my pink loving baby girl!

I know what your thinking....

How could I let the boy pick Orange for his bedroom. If it wasn't for the fact that it has always been Avery's color of choice we wouldn't be doing it. When he was one he had this Orange shirt that he wore everywhere. Anytime it was time to get dressed he had to have it. After Bella was born I had taken him to see some Dino's I had spent most of his life trying to make him "Love" then as much as I did. I was so happy that day when he picked out a Dino shirt from the gift shop. It wasn't until we got out to the car that I figured out why he picked it out in the first place. Yep, It was Orange bright Orange at that. Once he started Preschool all of his School work that first year was always done in Orange whether they were painting, using color crayons or markers. That was the year the drew full body self portraits, and yes he was all Orange!

Since things have never really changed I have a feeling Orange will be his color so why not paint his room how he wants it. Bella doesn't really care as long as its Pink, but not what she calls "Chloe Pink". It must be darker than baby pink and it better be Bright. Chloe's room will be painted light pink with white stripes. I'm sure if she could talk she would want her room painted the color of a monkey, but thank goodness she cant. We will just make sure that she is surrounded by her sweet monkeys and I'm sure she will be happy!

I cant believe that I am going to have one full week with only one child. What am I goin to do with myself? What if I decide that I don't want the big kids to come home? I wonder if Scott's parents would mind?

Why is it that every time I sit down to write Chloe has Clothes on. Then by the time I'm done shes running around here naked? I guess that means I should go and get my soon to be two year old dressed. Plus Avery has been bothering me for the last hour to play computer games. Why did I feel the need to show him that on the lego website you can play games?

Always After The Fact

It's funny how I hear about great things when it's to late. Yesterday I was told about this drug called Synagis it's an RSV Protection medication from of my dearest friends. Her daughter was also born with Congenital Heart Defects like Miss Chloe. She was told about this RSV protection by their Doctor and it sounds like her daughter will be receiving the once a month shot during the cold and flu season.

So I'm thinking SCORE! With the hopes of Chloe not landing in Children's again this year. Even though they are great there is nothing worse than seeing your child that sick. So I made the call to our family Doctor to see whats up. Turns out that last years Hospital stay could have been avoided if I would have asked about Synagis... Kills me how they say something now about it. This year Chloe is too old for it and they have told us to make sure she gets a Flu shot this year.

So I figured I can look at it this way. If Chloe ends up back at Children's with RSV for the third time. I can once again stock up on her favorite pink blankets and diaper rash cream for the year!
Extra added bonus would have to be the HOT DOCTORS! Nothin like some good eye candy when you haven't seen the outside of a hospital for days.

I think I have it Figured Out!

Now I know your all wondering what in the heck I have figured out this time. No its not a better way to stir peanut butter or anything else super cool like that.

Tonight while driving to pick up my Crazy Pills I have been questioning if I really do need them. Then I was reminded of why.....

Avery " Bella look do you see that?"
Bella " See What?"
Avery Crying " Just don't talk to me Bella"

Once we were back on the road after picking up my oh so wonderful crazy pills.

Bella was upset for some reason or another, not sure what started the whole thing in the first place. She starts telling Scott she is going to put him in Jail. After us telling her that it wasn't nice to talk to us the way she was. This went on for about 5 minutes then....

Scott was just done, done with listening to everyone talking over each other.

Scott " Bella that's enough, no more we are cutting this conversation off"
Bella " Don't Cut me with Scissors"
Scott Laughing " Bella I didn't say anything about scissors"
Bella " That's not nice, don't cut me with Scissors"

I am laughing so hard at this point I'm unable to even step in and help out with trying to tell Bella that there wasn't anything said about scissors.

This wonderful child of mine always takes everything to the extreme. I mean ALWAYS.... I'm not sure if its just her or if this is a normal 4 year old thing.

Now we are home getting ready to eat pizza. The kids ask for water Scott gets two cups one is yellow and one is blue. Scott gives Bella the blue cup and well guess what she didn't want the blue cup. Nor did she want to sit on the flower chair that she always sits on. Once we told her that a chair is a chair and water tastes the same no matter what color the cup is. She doesn't stop talking about it.

I take one look at her and say enough is enough.... Sit there on your flower chair, eat your pizza that is on the green plate and drink the darn water in the blue cup!

And she did just that!

I will never again question why I have the need for the CRAZY PILLS.
I am on them because I have 3 wonderful kids who like to drive me CRAZY!

Our Rainforest Song

Sing to the tune of "If your Happy and You Know it"

There are layers in the forest, Yes Indeed
Yes Indeed!
There are Layers in the Forest, Yes Indeed
Yes Indeed!
Emergent, Canopy, and the Understory
There are layers in the forest, Yes Indeed
Yes Indeed!

The Emergent is home to birds and butterflies
Butterflies!
The Emergent is home to the birds and butterflies
Butterflies!
The trees are so high that they almost tough the sky
The Emergent is home to the birds and butterflies
Butterflies!

The Canopy is like a big umbrella
Big Umbrella!
The Canopy is like a big umbrella
Big Umbrella!
Monkeys, Sloths, Orangutans, eat all the fruit they can
The Canopy is like a big umbrella
Big Umbrella!

The Understory is home to many snakes
Many Snakes!
The Understory is home to many snakes
Many Snakes!
They eat cats and bats and rats
And they like the grants for snacks
The Understory is home to many snakes
Many Snakes!

The forest floor is dim and dark and wet
Dark and Wet!
The forest floor is dim and dark and wet
Dark and Wet
Oh, the ants go marching by, as they watch the birds up high
The forest floor is dim and dark and wet
Dark and Wet!

I hope you enjoyed our song. Once the kids get it down I will get video of them singing it and post it here for you all to see.

Bored and Blogging

To all the BB&B ( Blankets Bears and Binkies ) Fans,

I know I have been lame and haven't been posting much. Between School work and House work I haven't really had a minute to sit and write.

So here we go...

Are you ready?

Avery I missing both of his top front teeth. It's super crazy cute and watching him eat spaghetti last night was great. It took me a minute to figure out why he was pulling the really long noodles back out of his mouth when he couldn't fit them in there. Once I had an idea I asked him to see what he would say " MOM! Any idea's of what I should be doing other than pulling them back out? It's not like I have any teeth to bite them with" He did have a good point. He is still trying to figure out how teeth as big as mine are going to all fit in his mouth. The question is asked many times during the day.

Bella cant wait to turn 5 she keeps telling everyone that all her teeth are going to fall out.
We were watching Animal Planet last night. There was a family that was raising a black bear? Or at least I think it was a black bear well a bear none the less. After watching the bear climb into the fridge. Bella looks at me with her hands on her hips " Don't these people know that bears are wild animals, and they should not be in your house?" Now we are just waiting for her to start some sort of "Save the Bears" or "Bears are not pet" campaign. Why do I feel like she is going to be the spokes person for PETA sometime in the near future?

Chloe is talking like crazy her new thing to say is "Hot Dog". She is running all over the place and getting into everything. She doesn't think there is a need for clothes and is often seen running around with no clothes on. This happens without us knowing.... I can dress her walk into the other room come back and there is a pile of Chloe clothes and shes running away laughing. It doesn't help that the big kids think its funny so she does it even more.

Could kids be any more fun? I'm thinking not, but then we will wake up tomorrow and there will be something else amazing they are doing.

Speaking of the naked baby for some reason she thinks I want to eat a half chewed bite of peanut butter cracker. If you could only see her sitting her trying to shove it into my mouth. She cant seem to stop laughing!

Here are a few new Pictures and a Video or two.

Enjoy...

Two Funny Videos

One of Chloe going down the Slide at the Park and One of Avery and I going down the slide at Avery's Birthday Party

I forgot that I needed to back up to be able to catch Chloe at the end of the slide. She ran right into my arm. We all were laughing and yes she was too.

Just a Note if you are planning on climbing with your kids don't wear a dress. I repeat DO NOT WEAR A DRESS!

Getting into the Swing of Things

We have spent the last week or so trying to get into the Swing of things.

While we wait for our Sonlight Shipment the kids have been working from a few workbooks we picked up. The first few days that we were doing school work here at home were a bit rough. Miss Chloe wanted to be held or she would find anything to stand on to be able to climb onto the table. Where she would sit trying to make herself look cute by saying "Hi" over and over again so she wouldn't get into trouble for being on the table. Yesterday she sat in her high chair pulled up to the table and colored in her new coloring book for over an hour!

Both Avery and Bella cant wait for that Sonlight box to show up. We were talking about the books and what we were going to be learning this year. Lets just say that its going to be like Christmas when it shows up.

I have been cleaning like a crazy person. All I have to say is my meds must be working. If you are reading this most of you know me well enough to know that I hate I mean really HATE cleaning. Even my kids when I start deep cleaning they ask " Who's coming over". If its the last thing I do I'm going to get this house in tip top shape before we really start school for the year. I had the kids helping yesterday. The whole second floor is spotless!

What else is new here since I haven't spent anytime blogging as of late. This past Friday we headed up to Seattle for hair cuts and to pick up Grandma. After we got Grandma we went to toys r us so Avery could get his birthday gift that he had been waiting forever for. We weren't even in the door 2 minutes when Bella walked by a shelf and a Wooden Toy Chest fell on her foot. The screaming, Blood and the way her toe turned black and blue and grew 3 times its normal size. We had to wait with the screaming and bleeding child for almost 45 minutes while good old Toys R Us too their sweet time trying to find the Incident Report paperwork. Don't even get me started on the lady from Personal Injury who we are dealing with. Poor Bella still cant put shoes on. We took her to see Dr. T once I filled out our paperwork. It isn't broken but it is really badly bruised and shes going to end up loosing her big toe nail. There goes her foot modeling career.

Only Kidding!

I should run the kids have made a mess out of my "clean" second floor and Avery let Chloe have his blue mouth wash and she now looks like the girl who turned into the blueberry in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The kitten has been named after a few weeks of just calling him "The Kitten" He is now Oscar, but last night Bella had a great idea! She thought we should call him Fruit. I really hope that one doesn't stick.

Vacation Bible School

Everyone was up early asking every 30 seconds if it was time yet.

We get in the car

We aren't even to the light yet...

Avery "Are we there yet?"
Mom " Does it look like we are there?"
Bella " Yeah"
Avery " No, Bella we aren't there yet"
Bella " I wasn't saying Yeah to you Brother"
Mom " If you knew we weren't there Avery. Why did you ask ?"
Avery " I couldn't help it"

So we pull up to the Church the kids are out of their seats in 2.2 seconds. I take them both in and get them to where they needed to be. Both of them so HAPPY they are there. I kiss them goodbye walk away and spent the next 3 hours in MOM Heaven! I forgot what it was like when it was just Chloe and I in the mornings.

After 3 hours of doing nothing besides playing with Chloe. I get the kids from VBS ask them how their day was and I get this....

Bella " MOM! why did you leave me here"
Avery " Do I have to come home? I had so much fun!"
Mom " Why are you upset Bella?"
Bella " I don't like it in this place, they all wear the same shirt"
Mom " Bella everyone has the same shirt because its fun "
Avery " I'm going to wear my shirt everyday! "
Bella " I am not going back and I am not EVER going to wear that shirt "
Mom " What did you have for Snack?"
Avery "Chocolate Pudding"
Bella " I didn't have snack, I had dinner and Vacation Bible School. I told them I wanted a snack, but they gave me dinner"
Mom " What did you have for dinner Bella?"
Bella "I had what Brother had"

At this point they started talking about something else. I left it along knowing that the only reason Bella was being that way because she was CRAZY tired.

After naps everyone is happy and cant wait to return to VBS tomorrow. And yes Bella asked if her shirt was clean so she can wear it.

Until Next Time,
Just MOM
