Sweet Things

Why is it that there are a billion movies for adults on this time of year "Halloween" and really nothing for children? Why cant the It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown be on demand? I'm sure my kids would rather watch that. Other than watching Halloween Dora and Sponge Bob Scary Pants for the nine hundredth time. Anyway while I was trying to find them something to watch I found ET!

I forgot out sweet that movie is. I love the part where Elliott is showing ET things in his room. "The fish eat the food and the shark eats the fish, but nothing eats the shark" Then there is the " This is money, the money goes into the Peanut"

I feel the need for some recess pieces. Did anyone else cry when they watched ET? I sure did I still get a bit teary when I watch it. I guess when my parents way back when went to see it in the theatre there was a little boy sitting next to them who was balling like a baby at the end.

While I'm sitting here talking about movies. I watched the movie Dan in Real Life the other day while my kiddo's were napping. Over all the movie was a bit dumb, but it really made me want to have siblings more than ever. Oh well Scott and I can be the parents who make everyone get together once a year for a week of fun. Where there will be a candy jar with endless recess pieces. I think I might need to run to the store to fix this little craving today. Just think there will be a day I'm really hoping that I'm very old when my kids decide to bring boyfriends and girlfriends home. I hope that I'm almost dead when they decide to get married and have children. Okay so my kids cant date until they are 30 so that would make me well lets see...

Avery 18+30=48
Bella 20+30=50
Chloe 23+30=53

So I wont be old enough maybe I will change their dating age to 50. Then I will be to old to even remember! There goes my whole getting together at some really cool lake cabin once a year with everyone. Lets just hope there is a wheel chair ramp on the house they can just wheel me in. And who knows maybe one of them will have children of their own and the baby and I can share baby food while all the grown ups eat. Second thought maybe I'll stay home and I'll wait for pictures to come in the mail. I'm really an indoor girl who even at 90 wouldn't enjoy a week long stint at a lake. Where there are wild animals and bugs.

Being an only child wasn't any fun. The worst part was when you were given games on Christmas or Birthdays you didn't have anyone to play them with. Pretty Pretty Princess was great only because I used everything for dress up. Who needs to play the game when you can wear all the bracelets and necklaces, top it off with a dumb plastic crown for endless dress up fun!

Is it to late to adopt some brothers and sisters? Maybe I'll just place an ad in the paper asking to join my family. I wonder how many crazy people like me are out there that would even think about replying?

I'm going to go and do something productive now. If I don't post anything tomorrow send a search party to my house. I might be lost in my garage I get to go search for the kids trick or treat bags. I have no idea where they might be I don't remember packing them when we moved and I haven't seen them since last year. If I ever move again I think I'm just going to pack my children and maybe pictures. Sell our house as is with all our crap and just buy new. It would make finding things a snap.

Until Next Time,
Just MOM

PS I just love the smell of bacon in the morning! To bad it was from last night. I don't know about you, but the smell of old bacon makes me sick.

Some Things Shouldnt Change

Sometimes I look at my children and wish that I were young again. Being free of worry and the worst that could ever happen is being called inside to go to bed. How about when you were forced to brush your teeth for a second time in one day... "But, Mom I already brushed them today!"

I wish that as an adult we didn't have to worry about the things we do. I live for the day that I wake up worry free and content like my soon to be 2 year old. Where not being able to find your milk cup is the reason for crying.

When I sat down at the computer today. Trying to come up with something other than just my OMG my blog is #1 on google. I gave up and thought that I would try to get my day started. First shower then start laundry with the dream of having the big kids packed before going to bed tonight. Tomorrow is going to be crazy and long and who knows if I would get around to packing. The last thing I want to do is try to do it minutes before we leave Friday and forget something like Blankets, Bears or Binkies! I'm sure Nanny and Grandpa would love me if I did that.

Back to the reason for this posting... I was bored while taking a shower so I did the only rational thing... Read Avery's Shampoo bottle.

First off why is it when you grow up all the fun stops. I want fun facts on my Shampoo bottle!
Avery's Shampoo reads...
Did You Know? Dolphins are fast swimmers. Some can swim up to 25 miles per hour. That's 5 times faster than the best human swimmers!

Where are my fun Shampoo facts? How fun would it be if they put something fun like..Who was the first person on the cover of Vogue? As for men's shampoo well Scott just said he couldn't give a rip if there was anything on it... So I'm not going to think of anything.

As for the Directions on the Shampoo... Avery's reads
ITS FUN TO USE!!!
Squeeze a gumball-sized amount into palm and apply to wet hair. Lather into a wig of Bubbles!

Garnier Fructis Directions
Massage into wet hair, lather and rinse thoroughly.
Can you say boring.

Now tell me why the baby shampoo doesn't have any directions? I'm guessing that they figure that all adults know how to use it. Then why do they put directions on adult shampoo?

Well that's all I my lame since of creativity has to offer today.

OMG I LOVE GOOGLE AND TARGET!

Google Rocks! Thank GOD for the Target Grand Opening Post!

I know that you are all wondering what has prompted me to post this....

Guess What!!!!!

If you Google " Target Grand Opening, Puyallup" Blanket Bears and Binkies is #1!!!!!

So I'm a bit mad at Target, they opened like 3 days before they had planned. They didn't send Targets #1 FAN a memo of this... So I missed it... Now I'm boycotting them at least until Payday.

Thank You Google and Thank you to everyone that reads my blog! I love you all!!!!!!

I'm going to go back to drinking coffee and listening to Taylor Swift while I try to wake up and think of something else to blog about!

Vacation Bible School

Everyone was up early asking every 30 seconds if it was time yet.

We get in the car

We aren't even to the light yet...

Avery "Are we there yet?"
Mom " Does it look like we are there?"
Bella " Yeah"
Avery " No, Bella we aren't there yet"
Bella " I wasn't saying Yeah to you Brother"
Mom " If you knew we weren't there Avery. Why did you ask ?"
Avery " I couldn't help it"

So we pull up to the Church the kids are out of their seats in 2.2 seconds. I take them both in and get them to where they needed to be. Both of them so HAPPY they are there. I kiss them goodbye walk away and spent the next 3 hours in MOM Heaven! I forgot what it was like when it was just Chloe and I in the mornings.

After 3 hours of doing nothing besides playing with Chloe. I get the kids from VBS ask them how their day was and I get this....

Bella " MOM! why did you leave me here"
Avery " Do I have to come home? I had so much fun!"
Mom " Why are you upset Bella?"
Bella " I don't like it in this place, they all wear the same shirt"
Mom " Bella everyone has the same shirt because its fun "
Avery " I'm going to wear my shirt everyday! "
Bella " I am not going back and I am not EVER going to wear that shirt "
Mom " What did you have for Snack?"
Avery "Chocolate Pudding"
Bella " I didn't have snack, I had dinner and Vacation Bible School. I told them I wanted a snack, but they gave me dinner"
Mom " What did you have for dinner Bella?"
Bella "I had what Brother had"

At this point they started talking about something else. I left it along knowing that the only reason Bella was being that way because she was CRAZY tired.

After naps everyone is happy and cant wait to return to VBS tomorrow. And yes Bella asked if her shirt was clean so she can wear it.

The last time I will talk about it

Okay for right now anyway. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but it made me laugh so I thought I should share.

I really wish I could take a photo of The New Kids on the Block and photo shop some walkers and such into the picture.

It would make it PERFECT!

Moving On I promise....

It was on my mind

This is what I think of when I hear someone talk of the Real World. This is where Season 3 was filmed here in Seattle on Pier 70 on Elliot Bay. We will never forget the famous Slap of Irene by Steven. They also went to the one place I cant wait to see... Nepal!

When in the world did the MTV hit TV show the Real World make its Television debut?

The year was 1992 and is now the longest running program in MTV history. They just announced their 21st season will take place in Brooklyn.

"This is the true story... of seven strangers... picked to live in a house...work together and have their lives taped... to find out what happens when people stop being polite... and start getting real...The Real World"

I do have to say when they first started they were "Real" people with "Real" problems and now the show is a joke.

Lets just hope that by the time my children are adults they will have better things for them to "try" out for.

Whatever happened to fear factor? I would rather watch someone eat something nasty than even think about another season of the Real World in production.

Until Next Time,
Just MOM
PS... In case you wanted to know somewhere out there in the world. There are many home videos of me and my friends shooting out very own Real World.

New Kids on the Block

Had a bunch of hits
Chinese food makes me sick
And I think its fly when girls stop by for the summer, for the summer
I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch
I'd take her if I had one wish
But she's been gone since that summer...

I couldn't help it! I had to post this video. This was the first thing that came to mind when I heard that the New Kids on the Block are on tour. The second thing I thought of was who in the heck is going to go see them. I was a bit young to really remember them, or to have ever been into them. So I picture a bunch of 30 year old women singing at the top of their lungs while yelling "I LOVE YOU". Oh and so they didn't feel dumb for going they made their pre-teen daughters go with them.

I know we were all at one point in time, or another into the "boy bands" heck I know I was.
I sat front row center at a backstreet boys concert and would do it again in a heart beat!

Gotta love LFO for their catchy song "Summer Girls" and well lets face it everyone remembers ..... What was that other boy band? You know that one with that Justin Kid? Gosh it has slipped my mind. Maybe I will think of it later...

Then there was 98 degrees with that blond chick's HOT ex hubby Nick. I'm trying to block her out of my memory forever. Miss "I know its Tuna , but is it chicken?" Baby it says " Chicken of the sea" and Babe " He's trying to use his Sears Card" Yes I watched Newlywed's on MTV. Sometimes I wish I could get that time back.

Speaking of MTV I was channel surfing today while the kiddo's were napping. I had no idea that the Real Word was still on. Aren't they running out of cities to have them in? Do people even want to be on the Real World anymore? I know I lost interest once they started making them work. Whats the fun in that? I guess it is called the "Real World" and well after all people do really work in the real world.

Nsync!

I knew would remember at some point.

I'm not sure why I felt I needed to share my feelings on the New Kids on the Block. I think we should be calling them the Old Men on the Block. Check them out on their official website not too bad, but I'm guessing photo shop was used A LOT.

So who's with me

Saving our Planet

I'm sure that most of us do our part in saving our planet.

I try my hardest to turn the lights off when I leave a room. I don't run the water while I'm brushing my teeth. I use environmentally friendly cleaners and I don't use paper towels or paper plates. I try to recycle everything that I can and only put out 1 trash can on garbage day, but that doesn't always happen.

I do have a ton of laundry I wash everyday and I take long showers. Not everyone is perfect, but I think my 4 year old is. She gets mad when we pick flowers, and you shouldn't cut down trees. She wont touch meat because "Animals are our friends". She never flushes the potty and she would be happy never to take another bath again. She would be more than happy to wear the same thing everyday without ever having me wash it.

The best thing that I have ever seen from recycling would be. The pick up that my father restored.

Now that is what I call recycling!

My mind is blank so this is what you get

So I got up today and I was trying to figure something out clever to write about. I'm at a loss for words so this is my plan. I'm going to brag about all the cool things in my life!

So hang on tight cause here I go....

I have 3 of the coolest, fun, sweetest, fun , beautiful, fun, caring, fun ,kind, fun, funny, fun, wild, fun, crazy, fun, smart, fun, most amazing children in the WHOLE WORLD. There isn't a day that goes by that they don't make me laugh, cry, and laugh some more. Just in case I forgot to say it my kids are FUN! I cant think of a better way of spending my days. I'm so lucky I get to spend everyday with them. Okay I should stop now before I change my mind.

What else...

I have 2 of the greatest friends in the world. Andra my best friend of 13 years is one of the bravest women I have ever met. In 1 week she will be giving her son a kidney. She also has 3 of most wonderful boys I have ever met. They have smiles that can light up a room! We love you guys!

Tracy who decided to leave me and move to the other side of the country. I love ya girl, but I'm still trying to to get past the fact we wont see you every week. I wish everyone I know would have had the chance to meet you guys. For the last week I have made something at least once a day that I can serve in my yellow bowls. I'm thinking that my family is getting sick of soup and such seeing that its hot outside now. I have been thinking about making life size cut-outs of you all so then I can just move you from room to room. That way you are always with us. I need to know the kids measurements. So that might be a bit extreme, but at least you know I love ya.

What else can I brag about?

I make the best biscuits and gravy EVER.

Okay maybe not best ever, but my 4 year old tells me so.

So I'm not going to bore you any longer with this. I'm sure tomorrow I will have something fun or great to write about.
I hope I haven't caused anyone to fall asleep.

Love Ya,
Just MOM

Dear Aunt Flow

My Dear Sweet Aunt Flow,

I'm writing in regards to your most recent visit. Once upon a time I might have enjoyed or maybe enjoyed the idea of you. Now that I have 3 children and no plan on having anymore why must you return? Better yet why did you visit twice this month? You Scare my Children, Family and Friends. Plus you come with no warning.

Next time you decide to stop by please do not bring along the following...

Bloating
Cramps
Mood Swings
Food Cravings (There isn't enough Chocolate or Salt & Vinegar Potato Chips in the world)
irritability
Headaches
Fatigue

If you are able to obied by my "rules" I might allow you to keep stopping by every month for the next 20+ years. I just ask that you keep your stay to 7 days or less and only come once a month. My housekeeping is starting to lack and your making it impossible to stay on a diet.

Just remember to not over stay your welcome and leave your baggage at home!

Until Next Month,
Just MOM

PS. If only I was as happy and looked as good as this women did when you are here.

How in the world did our children...

Learn to walk without this?

Okay so now I have seen it all. Do people really buy this kind of stuff?

Call me old fashioned, but I taught my kids how to walk or should I say they learned on their own. Someone posted on a website that this was a must have for "Teaching" your child how to walk.

Can someone, anyone tell me how all 3 of my kiddo's learned how to walk without this. Better yet how did I learn how to walk?

What will they come up with next?
Until Next Time,
JM
Correction.....
I got a phone call from a friend after she had taken a minute to read this post. I guess I still need something like this. Yes, because there isn't a day that goes by that I don't trip, stumble or fall over my own two feet. With that being said I guess I never really "learned" how to walk.

I should be doing something other than....

Reading other people's blogs and writing yet another one for today.

Maybe its because I feel I need to do things in 2's today.

I just made my second pot, yes pot not cup of coffee. I just started to dry the second load of laundry for the day.

While I sit here thinking about my caffeine addiction and how I should at the very least cut back. I cant help but wonder how in the heck to make my back porch look more beautiful and less like a Indian reservation. (forgive me father) I know that isn't the best way to put it, but that is how I think it looks. There are toys everywhere and I mean everywhere. Our ugly grass grows out of control its only been 5 days since it was last cut and it needed it cut 2 days ago.

Now I'm thinking that my blogging and doing things in 2's is borderline OCD. Maybe I should make an appointment. Maybe I'll skip that step and just ask for the padded room.

The Baby is eating Cheerios off the floor. No Mom I didn't just leave them there for her to eat. In fact when I took her out of the high chair there weren't any on the floor at all. They were stuck all over her rear end I figured that the dog would take care of it for me. Well they are falling off and shes eating them. I don't think she has sat down yet so they are close enough to clean and OK to eat.

WOW could I be anymore white trash?
Headline:
White Trash Baby Momma addicted to coffee with OCD allows child to eat off the floor.

With all of that said.... I'm going to go put clothes away.

Until Next Time,
Just Mom

What is a girl to do?

It's Thursday already and I haven't done a single thing is this darn house of mine.

Over the weekend we painted the walls the very most perfect shade of yellow. Thank you April at Parker Paint and yes you were right. Now I just need to find something else to cover that nice hole above my fireplace. So my oh so beautiful rug can go into my kitchen where it belongs. I have an even better idea maybe we could patch the hole, and then I wont have to find something large enough to cover it!

So it's not even 9am yet. I have done 2 loads of laundry the kids have all had breakfast twice. I am on my second cup of coffee. I decided to take a run up to the second floor to check out the playroom. A place that I try not to step foot into the room is covered with land mines ( matchbox cars ) and other great things to step on. I have no clue as to what to do in that room. It looks like a bomb has gone off. Too bad there isn't a team of people you can call to help with relief efforts. How would one search for that. Google? Maybe the yellow pages?
"playroom disaster clean-up"
This is how I picture it....
A bunch of people sitting around answering frantic phone calls from thousands of mothers all around the globe who's husband is about to come home and you just know that the question will be asked " What did you all do today"? So all women and children are in a hurry to make sure everything looks like it did before he left. Maybe there will be a number you can dial like 411.
So I pick up the phone dial 123 and the line is ringing.....

" Playroom disaster hotline, whats your emergency"?

At this point they dispatch a cleaning crew. I'm told for an extra fee they will do children's bedrooms as well. If there is time.... A Chloe bomb just went off now there are toys all over the stairs. I wonder if that was included in my yearly fee to Playroom Disaster Inc. ? I wonder if any of their crew is skilled in home repairs?

Oh if that were only possible... I think every house wife and stay at home mom would be set. Just think about never having to pick up a toy again!

I would love to finish that off with Hubby walking into a clean house where all the children are happy and all smiles with a home cooked meal on the table and a pie cooling in the window.

PRICELESS

Now that my hopes are up for a cleaning crew. I will turn into that crew myself once I figure out when I want to do something today.

Now for Kiddo News

Avery has two new dirt bike toys that he cant seem to stop playing with.

Bella cant wait until her party she is still trying to figure out how she is going to be 4.

Chloe well shes Chloe sweet as always. She got a new pair of shoes that she never wants to take off.

Well 4 cups of coffee later and a bit of make believe I am off to get this party started... If you want to call cleaning a party.

Until next time,
Just Mom
